If your GPU is Very old for playing with recent opengl, You can emulate opengl with software moving opengl.dll to game directory, but this made game vert heavy for cpu.
You can try going into .exe file's properties and add where the file name is "Life with the tribe (demo).exe“ --rendering-driver opengl3. Everything is as it says on the window
Normally I don't like trying new games, that aren't tested. I did and have to say the game opens kind off screen and it's a bit hard to see till you got full screen put in.
Oh it's already done? well what's with steam? I'm not sure if I have finished this here already.
what do you do after you free the captive? I tried interacting with everything I could with all the available items in my inventory but I couldn't find a way forward.

I made the same mistake, but quickly realised.....I could...dodge :)
why is there two EXE files in the demo folder they are the same size so is it just 2 copies of the demo?

Speak to the woman at the gate, then start exploring outside the village.
You do that before you free the captive.
Are you talking about getting the captive's limbs? You buy them from the shop.
